Bishop's Stortford entrepreneur looking to heat things up with 3Thermo hybrid concealed radiators
A Bishop's Stortford entrepreneur is helping to heat people's homes using a new technology with green credentials.
Pawel Gasiorowski's company 3Thermo Ltd, based in Raynham Road, has the exclusive UK and Ireland licence for 3Thermo hybrid concealed radiators.
The technology is an alternative to under-floor heating and traditional radiators, with tubes of water being installed inside walls.
The benefits include being more energy efficient and reducing the chance of mould and damp forming in the home.
Pawel, 45, was raised in Poland, serving in his home country's army and having an import and export business before moving to the UK 10 years ago and has been Stortford based for 12 months.
He worked in the building and security industries in this country before being approached by a friend who invented 3Thermo with the opportunity to go into business whilst he was visiting family in Poland.
"Once I looked into the new concept and the benefits, I was very interested," said Pawel, who has two sons, one of whom still lives with him and attends The Bishop's Stortford High School sixth form. "They'd had the system for over five years and had a customer base.
"I did my market research and personally went to visit 10 of the customers and was pleasantly surprised with the positive feedback.
"The green credentials and the fact the system used 20% of the water compared to other systems really inspired me.
"I came back to the UK and discussed 3Thermo with some industry people and friends and decided it was an opportunity I couldn't refuse."
The company has three active directors as well as numerous installers across the country. An investment of £250,000 was made to secure the exclusive licence, stock and warehouse premises.
Pawel, who loves the community spirit in Stortford and is part of a dog-walking community with pet Bella, hopes 3Thermo will quickly become recognised as a genuine alternative to traditional systems.
