A Bishop's Stortford men's hair salon will be raising money for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance on Sunday.
Customers of Mr Barbers in North Street will be asked to pay what they think their haircut is worth, between 10am and 3pm. The team hope to raise £1,000.
Sam Prior, founder and co-owner of the business said: “We’re holding this event for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance because we really believe in their cause. They attended over 20,000 missions since they started and 200 calls for help in January alone!”
The air ambulance is not part of the NHS and receives limited Government funding Each mission costs about £2,500 and the emergency service needs £500,000 a month to remain operational. Sam added: “This is such a fantastic charity, they do such an amazing job every day.”
