The managing director of a Bishop's Stortford boutique that shut suddenly this month has applied for the business to be voluntarily dissolved.

Michael Dowsett and his partner Carly Stafford opened women's fashion store 139 Apache Ltd in South Street – between WHSmith and the British Heart Foundation charity shop – in June 2018. They also had outlets in Upminster and Hornchurch in Essex.

Now Mr Dowsett has asked for the firm to be struck off at Companies House. A notice was published in the London Gazette on July 13, signalling the business will be removed from the register and dissolved within two months.
