Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst chief financial officer James Keeling named new chair of Institute of Directors in Hertfordshire

The new chair of the Institute of Directors' Hertfordshire branch is looking forward to helping businesses across the county bounce back from the pandemic.

James Keeling, the chief financial officer at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, will work alongside a team of branch ambassadors to provide connections, professional development opportunities and an influential lobbying voice in the area.

Keeling started his career as a research scientist spending 10 years in drug discovery with the Wellcome Foundation and GlaxoWellcome.

He went on to qualify as an accountant and held senior roles in blue chip companies, including GlaxoSmithKline and BT, both in the UK and internationally.

"I am looking forward to working with colleagues to grow the Hertfordshire branch, enabling members to improve their networks and professional development as businesses across the region look to seize the opportunities available to build back from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic," said Keeling.
