“You name it, we’ll GoGett it!” is the promise made by a new delivery service which is launching in Bishop’s Stortford tomorrow (Thursday, August 8).

GoGetters will deliver just about anything, from takeaways to groceries – milk, bread, nappies or sanitary products – and all within the hour.

And, since the company took off in 2017, GoGetters has delivered some stranger items, including a child’s homework, a pair of car keys, a new pair of shoes and even a box of live crickets.

GoGetters, which currently employs more than 100 people, was founded by Burnt Mill Academy old boy Owen Barrow while he was still a 19-year-old business student at Harlow College. “I was studying, working a full-time job and growing a business all at once – not easy,” he said.

Owen, 21, now lives in Sawbridgeworth and remains at the helm of the business which currently operates in Harlow, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hertford, Ware and Sawbridgeworth.

Tomorrow’s introduction in Stortford has been in the pipeline since the start of the year.

“It’s always been a town since day one we were eager to get into,” said Owen. “Simply because of the great restaurants it has to offer and also the community is fantastic, so we knew it was right for GoGetters.”

In preparation for the Stortford launch, GoGetters has teamed up with a variety of restaurants in the town to offer home delivery. These include Buffalo Joe’s, Gourmet Turk, Road Dogs, Baan Thitiya, Katsu Charlie, Petrucci’s Pizza and Sukira Cantonese Cuisine.

Customers will also be able to order fast food from Burger King and KFC.

More eateries are expected to come aboard after tomorrow’s launch, but the company has a firm policy of only teaming up with those with a three-star hygiene rating and above. It is also careful to make sure that the chefs strictly follow their customers’ allergy requirements.

Owen explained: “It just has to be that way. Someone might get sick if the food isn’t tip-top quality so we need to make sure we only partner with the best restaurants in the area to ensure our customers get the best.”

The free GoGetters app is available to download on both iOS and Android, and can be downloaded via gogetters.co.uk/app. There is a special discount code on the link for all new customers. You can also order from the GoGetters website.
