Jaguar Land Rover, Audi, BMW and Mercedes opportunities on apprenticeship programme with car dealership Lookers
Young people are being encouraged to apply for a place on an award-winning apprenticeship programme at one of the country's leading car dealerships.
Lookers, whose Bishop's Stortford branch is on the Stortford Hall industrial estate in Dunmow Road, is searching for passionate youngsters to join the scheme, which provides opportunities in a wide range of roles from parts advisors and service technicians to customer service advisors and body repairers.
Prospective applicants can choose to work with some of the world's best-known manufacturers, including Jaguar Land Rover, Audi, BMW and Mercedes.
The roles in Stortford are part of Lookers' nationwide search for 180 apprentices, with the firm particularly keen to attract women to build on the launch of its industry-wide Female Apprenticeship Network.
The Lookers scheme has Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship employer status and has won the regional Macro Apprentice Employer of the Year award.
"The Lookers apprenticeship programme has enabled us to develop many high-calibre, talented individuals, many of whom have gone on to receive industry and national recognition in the south of England," said the firm's chief retail operations officer Duncan McPhee.
"The investment also demonstrates our confidence and ambition for the future, despite the difficult challenges of this year."
