A gym that opened three years ago in a transformed tractor barn did the double at the 11th annual National Fitness Awards.

Vision Fitness, at Parsonage Farm in Church End, Henham, was named both the Best Boutique Gym Facility and Regional Gym of the Year – South at a glittering ceremony held at the Athena in Leicester.

The rural gym got the better of facilities from big cities and towns such as London, Bristol, Gosport, Tavistock, Birmingham and Edinburgh to be crowned one of the best in the country.

Vision Fitness owner Ollie Emsden has always been involved in the world of fitness and played football to a high standard when he was younger.

He was then able to turn his dream of having his own gym into a reality by converting an old barn into a first-class facility which appeals to people of all fitness types and with a range of goals.

"The gym has undergone a dramatic transformation process from an old tractor barn to what it is today," said Emsden.
