A property search company that provides reports to solicitors and conveyancers across Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire gave St Clare Hospice a Christmas bonus.

X-Press Legal Services, run by Stansted-based Jo French, would normally send presents to clients over the festive period, but this year decided to donate to the Hastingwood charity instead.

The hospice, which cares for adults with life-limiting diseases across West Essex and East Herts, has been hit hard as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic dramatically reducing its fundraising opportunities.

"Knowing what a difficult and uncertain time the pandemic has posed to many, we really wanted to give back this year," said Jo. "St Clare does wonderful work in caring for people with life-limiting illnesses, alongside supporting their network of family and friends.

"I felt very honoured to go down to the hospice in person to donate this Christmas, and we hope our donation can help them to continue providing the great care they are known for and which benefits so many people."
