Marshall Bishop's Stortford is adding a new Volvo with the latest infotainment system and safety features to its portfolio this month.

The car dealership, on the Stortford Hall Industrial Estate in Dunmow Road, will be receiving its first supplies of the Volvo XC60 and expects demand to be high for the SUV.

Features include a rear auto brake function, to help avoid reversing scrapes, as well as upgraded accident-avoidance and emergency stop-assist systems.

The XC60, whose predecessor was named World Car of the Year, also has built-in apps and services, including Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Google Play Store.

"We know connectivity is key for today's customers, so this new model's ground-breaking Android infotainment system is a huge bonus for drivers," said general manager Sam Wallis.

"The model is available as a convenient plug-in hybrid version or with petrol or diesel power, perfect for an array of different drivers' needs.

"It's a really stylish update to the XC60 and we're looking forward to showing it off to customers later this month!"

On-the-road prices start at £41,745.
