3D nipple and areola tattooing helping breast cancer survivors and people who have undergone reconstructive surgeries at Contour Blush in Bishop's Stortford
An award-winning cosmetic tattoo specialist is using her artistic flair and passion for aesthetics to enhance the natural beauty and restore the confidence of her clients, including breast cancer survivors.
Georgina King, owner of Contour Blush in Bishop's Stortford, has more than 15 years' experience within the beauty and aesthetics industry and has been tattooing for the last seven years.
A perfectionist at heart, her attention to detail and wealth of knowledge means she can provide personal, high-quality bespoke treatments that are effective, safe and affordable.
And in 2019 she decided to train in the art of 3D nipple and areola tattooing to help breast cancer survivors and people who have undergone reconstructive surgeries feel good about themselves again.
"There are several reasons why women – and some men – may need medical tattooing in the breast area," said Georgina, 33, who has always loved art. "It could be for the diffusion of scars, areola resizing, symmetry correction, nipple colour enhancement or full areola reconstruction following surgical procedures such as a mastectomy due to breast cancer.
"Areola restoration treatment creates a natural areola tattoo that gives the illusion of a 3D nipple and areola using a range of permanent pigments and tattooing techniques.
"I love my job, but doing these particular treatments is extra rewarding. Being able to give someone back something they might feel is missing after what they've been through is very satisfying."
Georgina, who established her cosmetic clinic in 2016 and has bases at Stephanie Louise Aesthetics in North Street and at Lyza London Clinic in Winchmore Hill, grew up in Stortford. She went to Richard Whittington Primary School and Herts and Essex High School before studying for her beauty qualifications at Hertford Regional College.
Georgina lived and worked in Dubai from 2018 to 2019 after deciding to move out there with her sister Lorraine having loved a holiday there. Her sibling is still living out there, but Georgina decided to come home and become her own boss.
As well as offering a wide range of services such as permanent make-up, LVL lash lift and HD brow sculpt, she also receives requests for eyebrow tattooing prior to patients starting chemotherapy treatment due to the possible effects of hair loss. Georgina can design and create realistic eyebrows, mimicking hairstrokes and/or make-up effects which last up to two years or more.
"Customer care is at the heart of everything I do and you will experience high-quality treatments that are designed bespoke for you in a personal and caring environment," said Georgina.
"My cosmetic clinic offers a modern, clinical and private setting for all your needs and I always strive to understand and exceed patients' expectations."
