Gyoury's Glow at Takeley Park near Stansted Airport offers one of the best sunbed and tanning experiences in the Hertfordshire and Essex border area
A young entrepreneur is offering golden suntans and radiant, healthy skin on the perfect getaway – and you don't even have to leave town.
Bishop's Stortford resident Ruby Gyoury, 18, opened tanning salon Gyoury's Glow at Takeley Park near Stansted Airport last April and is making customers feel better on the inside and outside with her state-of-the-art sunbeds.
The Ergoline Prestige Vision sunbeds have been designed with attention to improved skin care and Ruby has both the Prestige Bluevision and the Prestige Lightvision (red) models, meaning she offers one of the best sunbed experiences in the Herts and Essex border area.
The Ergoline Prestige Bluevision tanning bed was the first to combine the latest UV technology with the power of 120 activating light LEDs. Blue light activates the whole organism and prepares the skin for tanning which enables particularly intensive direct pigmentation, for an immediately visible wow effect.
The Ergoline Prestige Lightvision has more than 200 high-performance LEDs, providing special skin care tanning, effective for the face, neck, shoulders and body.
The red light activates the supply of oxygen to the skin, which boosts the tanning effect and provides an all-round glowing complexion and smooth skin. It is not just about getting a tan with this sunbed – it goes deeper into the skin to benefit your whole body.
Skin therapy treatment, known as light treatment, uses specialist sunbeds that provide non-thermal light energy to trigger your body's natural cell processes to accelerate, rejuvenate or repair the skin.
Conditions the Ergoline beds can help with include acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin rejuvenation and sun damage.
"Everybody wants a tan and to feel good," said Ruby, who went to Windhill21 Primary School and Birchwood High School in Stortford. "It doesn't just help you glow on the outside, it helps you to glow from the inside out.
"It's not just about tanning now. The beds are so advanced that it's about helping your skin as well.
"You come out happy and stress-free. People haven't been able to go away and have been living through lockdowns, but having a sunbed – even though it's something little – can really make you happy."
Ruby is originally from Enfield and moved to Stortford 10 years ago with mum Maria and dad Stephen. She has a younger sister and an older brother.
After finishing school, Ruby was doing admin work at her dad's company Hunsdon Skip Hire but always wanted to be her own boss and do something "more girly".
Also part of her team is part-time assistant Aimee Bayford. Bookings can also be taken for nail artist Alanya Nails and tattoo artist Fly Ink.
Customers can choose to have calming and soothing sounds played while they are on the sunbed, including beach waves and jungle birds, or opt to have their own music via bluetooth.
And with her studio enjoying easy out-of-town access and offering free parking, Gyoury's Glow is the perfect place for feeling like you have had some relaxed time in the sun at a great price.
"People don't just come for a tan, they come to relax," said Ruby. "They want to look good, feel good and have some time to themselves. It's the perfect getaway."
