Marathon legend Ben Smith to launch mental health charity Mind's regional sports hub in Hertfordshire

Marathon man Ben Smith, best known for completing 401 marathons in 401 days, is to launch the Mind East Regional Hub for Sport and Physical Activity.

Based at the University of Hertfordshire, the hub is a joint initiative between national mental health charity Mind and the Herts Sports and Physical Activity Partnership (HSP).

Its aim is to promote the benefits of physical activity on mental health, such as helping to develop friendships, improve confidence and self-esteem, and build resilience.
