Stansted restaurant Brohmon celebrates British Food Fortnight
Stansted eatery Brohmon is marking British Food Fortnight with two weeks of special events and new dishes.
The award-winning restaurant in Chapel Hill specialising in traditional Bengali Indian cuisine is run by husband and wife Karim and Sultana Ullah.
As part of the two-week event, from September 20 to October 6, the venue will offer diners “a celebration of flavour, innovation and culture”.
“Everyone visiting Brohmon’s restaurant in Stansted can experience delicious dishes, exclusive events and unforgettable experiences that showcase the best British produce,” said Karim.
“We work with local farms to source the produce we use in the restaurant and we’re looking to use this produce to create some wonderful new dishes.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating British Food Fortnight and we believe it’ll be a fantastic opportunity for people – both the ‘foody traditionalists’ and the ‘culinary explorers’ – to enjoy some of the amazing food we’re planning to offer. Hopefully, we’ll see people from far and near coming to visit our restaurant during those two weeks.”
In addition to its regular evening opening hours, the restaurant will be open for lunch, from noon to 2.30pm, over the fortnight. Added Karim: “There will even be a special lunchtime menu, intended to appeal to the widest possible audience and giving them as many opportunities as possible to join this year’s culinary celebrations.”
