Teddy’s Tales: Bishop’s Stortford through a pug’s eyes (with the help of his humans)

Teddy the pug, who is three years old, has lived with his humans, Gabi and Tom, in Bishop's Stortford since they moved from London two years ago. Follow his adventures in the Indie each month as he explores dog-friendly places in and around the town.

This month’s itinerary? A little bit of everything: from retail therapy in Stortford, to a cosy pizza and beer night at Beer Shop and a sunny trip to Hatfield Forest.

At Beer Shop in Northgate End, a beloved local of mine, my pawrents indulged in the tasty delights of Grace Makes Dough’s pizza pop-up, which I was desperate to get my paws on.

With its craft beer and wine selection and inviting ambience featuring board games and bespoke merchandise, it’s the ultimate spot both for humans and their furry companions.

The sunny spring weather gave my pawrents the perfect opportunity to visit Hatfield Forest, where I was taken on a scenic stroll through the forest and around the lake.

The highlight? A pit stop at the lakeside café for a scrumptious Scoop’s dog-friendly ice cream, making it one of the most picturesque dog walks in the Bishop’s Stortford area.

Of course, no adventure is complete without a little retail therapy. Venturing into Stortford town centre, I couldn’t resist exploring the spring range at Vinegar Hill and the pets range at Mountain Warehouse.

Stay tuned as I share my monthly adventures with you. Living in a town like Stortford that embraces dogs truly makes each adventure pawsome!
