By Gemma Gardner

A 22-year-old woman from Dunmow has died in hospital following a collision between two vehicles on the M11 on Sunday afternoon (December 16).

Jessica Howe, of Parsonage Downs, was travelling in a Nissan Micra when it was involved in a crash with a Mercedes C260 on the southbound carriageway near Trumpington, Cambridge, at about 1.50pm.

Jessica, a front-seat passenger in the car, was taken to nearby Cambridge hospital Addenbrooke’s but has since died.

The female driver of the Mercedes and two children travelling in the back were not injured.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or either vehicle in the lead-up to it, is asked to contact the road policing unit by calling 101 and quoting incident 241 of December 16.
