Bellway’s 323 new homes at Bishop’s Stortford's Goodsyard development almost complete
Homes in the final apartment block at Bellway’s part of the Goodsyard development in Bishop’s Stortford have been released for sale.
Bellway is delivering 323 of the 700-plus homes that form part of the regeneration of the former railway freight area off Station Road.
The Exchange – the first phase of 149 flats – is complete and all the homes have been sold.
Bellway is in the final phase of construction at Southside Locks, which comprises the 174 other homes across five buildings, including 128 for private sale and 46 affordable ones for rent or shared ownership. More than half of the private homes at Southside Locks have already been sold.
Developer Solum was granted planning permission in May 2018 to transform the Network Rail goods yard into a new gateway for the town.
The £200m vision includes an 85-bed hotel, 10,000 sq ft of retail outlets, 30,000 sq ft of office space and a 55-bed care home as well as over 700 new homes – including those built by Bellway – and two multi-storey car parks delivering almost 1,000 spaces.
