Summer activities for members of disability charity Accuro include gaming, trampolines, boating, beach and bowling

Members of Start Hill-based disability charity Accuro (Care Services) have been enjoying a summer holiday activity scheme.

The programme for youngsters aged 8 to 19 with disabilities has enabled them to socialise and develop life skills.

Co-ordinator Rhiannon Blake said: "Following more than a year of on and off clubs and a summer of virtual sessions in 2020, it's been wonderful to be able to run our holiday scheme as usual this year.

"Our members, staff and volunteers have had an amazing time taking part in a wide range of activities from beach trips to boating!"

Outings have included trips to the Multitap Gaming Hub in Loughton, Jump Evolution trampoline park in Romford, CanalAbility boating charity in Harlow and Clacton beach as well as tenpin bowling sessions in Saffron Walden and Harlow and horse riding at Radwinter.

Rhiannon added: "We like to keep our activities as varied as possible so that there's plenty to choose from and opportunities that suit the varying needs and interests of our members."

The scheme will round off with a summer party. To find out more about Accuro and its services see www.accuro.org.uk.
