Liberal Democrat election candidates in Bishop’s Stortford All Saints ward invite voters to meet them

Liberal Democrat candidates vying for seats in Bishop’s Stortford’s All Saints area in the May 4 local elections are taking part in question-and-answer sessions.

Chris Wilson, currently a member of East Herts Council for the ward and a town council contender, said: “We’ve been knocking on doors for a few weeks now and I’ve enjoyed speaking to the people who were good enough to take time out to chat with us.

“But I want to give people a chance to come and see us and ask any questions they might have before the poll on May 4."

At least two candidates will be at the Nag's Head, Dunmow Road, on Tuesday (April 25) from 7pm to 8pm; The Three Tuns, London Road, on Thursday (April 27) 2pm-3pm; and at South Mill Arts, South Road, on Saturday (April 29) 11am-noon.

Chris said: “We’re very happy to answer any questions voters have, so just come along, look out for the yellow rosette on our chests to find us and ask away."

The Indie has invited the Conservatives, Labour and Green Party for details of any such ‘meet the candidates’ events they are holding, although the Greens do not have any town council candidates.

Barry Hensall is a Heritage Party candidate for an All Saints ward seat on East Herts Council.

Independent Colin Woodward is a candidate for both town and East Herts Council in Bishop’s Stotford’s Parsonage ward.
