Outdoor gym is top of St Michael’s Primary School’s Christmas wish list




St Michael’s C of E Primary School in Bishop’s Stortford wants to raise money at its Christmas fair for an outdoor gym.

The annual event at the Apton Road school on Saturday November 30 begins at noon and the fun continues until 3pm.

Attractions include Santa’s grotto, a pre-loved present sale, tombola and selection of warm drinks and tasty snacks.

There will be a grand raffle with more than 30 prizes to be won, including theatre tickets, spa treatments, restaurant/store vouchers and children’s activities, thanks to the support of businesses and organisations in Bishop’s Stortford and beyond.

Top prizes include a new Fitbit Charge 4 donated by ITVET, four tickets to see Jack and the Beanstalk at Saffron Hall, a month’s membership at Nuffield Health and Everyone Active, and a £50 Discover Stortford gift card.

The supporters also include The Entertainer, Vinegar Hill, South Street Pantry, Smoke BBQ Kitchen, East of England Co-op, The Float Retreat, Barracudas, M Salons, Bishop’s Stortford Golf Club, Olyra Greek Bakery, Bouncy Barkers, COOK, Jenny Myhill Dance School, Wheelie Roller Disco, Hatters Farm, Host, Franco Manca, Pizza Express, Goddards, Tesco, Shepreth Wildlife Park, Airdrop, Little Monsters House of Fun, Holisticare, Pop up Play, Little Arts Workshop and Inflatacity.

Spokeswoman Helen Hays said: “All proceeds will go towards purchasing an outdoor gym for the school. We look forward to welcoming you on November 30.”
