Hertfordshire’s police cadets are appealing for new volunteer leaders.

The cadet scheme has 11 active groups – including one in Bishop's Stortford – across the county. Its leaders deliver a range of activities for youngsters aged 13 to 18, working to the National Cadet Curriculum.

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Pete Frost said: “Being a volunteer cadet leader is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to your community, while also learning new skills in the process. The commitment can range from as little as one or two sessions a month to every week and some weekends.”

For more information about the role or to apply, visit www.herts.police.uk or email RCountyCadets@herts.pnn.police.uk. Policing knowledge is desirable but not essential.
