M11 crash: Appeal for witnesses following collision between Bishop's Stortford and Harlow junctions

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash on the M11 during Friday morning's rush hour (August 14) in which a BMW hit the central reservation.

Officers were called to the accident scene on the southbound carriageway between junctions 8 and 7 – Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Airport to Harlow – at 8.20am.

A spokesman for Essex Police said no-one had been seriously injured. Reports on social media suggested a "large number of cars" were involved, but police confirmed only one vehicle had crashed.

Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 241 of 14 August, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
