Artist who was housekeeper for Elton John opens studio in Birchanger to showcase her quirky creations
An artist and dog walker is opening up her garden studio this weekend to showcase her work and the creations of other local artists.
Papier mache dog sculptures, cards, pottery and gift ideas will be on show at Lin Watson’s studio at 30 Birchanger Lane between 11am and 4pm on Saturday (August 31) and Sunday (September 1).
The 69-year-old, whose claim to fame is working as Sir Elton John’s housekeeper, opened her own gallery and studio in November 2017.
She told the Indie then: “My passion has always been nature, travel and animals.
“Capturing a moment of colour, fun and memory has always been reflected in what I paint. I love to see the fun side of life, which is why I love naïve-style, quirky art.”
Iconic T-shirts produced by anti-fur charity Lynx and endorsed by TV environmentalist Chris Packham will also be available to buy.
