Lawrence Taylor and Janet Malcolmson, who have run Aristocrat in the town for almost four decades, have supported Isabel Hospice for over 20 years, raising around £60,000 for the hospice. Their efforts are the equivalent of running the in-patient unit 24 hours a day for 12 days.

Volunteer Renée Friend said: “Isabel Hospice provides care and support to patients and their families, in their own homes, at our local day services and at our in-patient unit, from diagnosis, throughout their illnesses, continuing where needed with bereavement support for all the family, both locally in Stortford and surrounding villages and throughout East Hertfordshire.

“We need to raise £7 million every year to continue to provide our free, specialist, end-of-life services to local people. We do rely on and are grateful for the continued generous support of Aristocrat and all our other local businesses, organisations and our local communities.”
