Bid for late-night alcohol licence at former Bishop’s Stortford charity shop

Two Polish entrepreneurs are behind plans to turn a former Bishop’s Stortford charity shop into a new bar.

Szymon Kostka and Katarzyna Zych, trading as SKK Champagne Ltd, have asked East Herts Council for a licence to serve alcohol at the former Oxfam bookshop in North Street.

The application would allow the premises to sell drinks from 10am to 11pm Mondays to Wednesdays, from 10am to midnight Thursdays to Saturdays and from 10am to 9pm on Sundays.

The alcohol and late-night refreshment application also includes permission to continue playing recorded music from 11pm to midnight Thursdays to Saturdays.

The closing date for residents to comment on the proposals is October 23.

The pair registered SKK Champagne Ltd at The Moorings, Bishop's Stortford, on June 27.
