Birchwood High School students hand over more than £4,500 to good causes
Students at Birchwood High School in Bishop's Stortford have handed over cheques totalling more than £4,500 to three good causes.
The youngsters presented Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, The Firefighters Charity and Sparkle Malawi with £1,553.91 each.
The money was raised by teacher Alexandra Collyer and the Parsonage Lane secondary's house captain team.
A spokeswoman said: "Together with our monumental collection of food for the Bishop's Stortford Food Bank, this has been the culmination of Birchwood's Feel Good Week, where our whole school community has come together to support local and international charities as well as each other."
