A car boot sale is to be held at Birchwood High School to raise money towards a new school minibus.

The Parsonage Lane secondary’s Parents, Staff and Friends’ Association (PSFA) has organised the event for Sunday July 17.

The sale will be held on the Pearse House playing field opposite the main school campus. Sellers can arrive from 10.30am, using the Dunmow Road entrance. Once the site is full, no more sellers will be allowed in.

The event is open to the public from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Parking will be in the school car park with pedestrian access via Parsonage Lane. Toilets and refreshments will be provided. Only assistance dogs will be allowed.

PSFA spokeswoman Linda Storey said: “Our minibus is on its last legs and is a resource that is very valuable for getting pupils to trips and sporting activities.”
