Bishop's Stortford College to host Question Time
Bishop's Stortford College is to host David Dimbleby's penultimate Question Time as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations.
The BBC One political debate programme will be broadcast from the Prep School Hall at the independent school in Maze Green Road on Thursday December 6.
Question Time, the BBC’s flagship political programme, features a studio audience quizzing politicians from different parties, political commentators and well-known public figures on current events.
The panel members for the Bishop’s Stortford College edition will be announced nearer the time.
It has been presented by David Dimbleby since 1994, but in June the BBC announced that the 80-year-old broadcaster would be leaving Question Time. His last broadcast on the show will be on December 13.
The show’s producers, Mentorn Media, are inviting people from the Bishop’s Stortford area to apply to be part of the audience via the programme’s website www.bbc.co.uk/questiontime or by phone on 0330 123 9988.
The audience will consist of selected people to ensure political balance and a range of voices. Successful applicants are also given an opportunity to put a question to the panel.
