A tree fell onto two cars parked in Benhooks Avenue, Bishop's Stortford, in the early hours of last Wednesday (October 4).

Police cordoned off the road for a few hours while two tree surgeons went to investigate. They cut up the tree and removed it.

Benhooks Avenue resident Mick Sleeman told the Independent:"I woke up on Wednesday at about 5am to a bang out the front of my house. I thought it was the foxes around the dustbins, but an hour later I looked out the window to see the tree, which had been leaning over for some time, had finally fallen on top of the neighbours' cars next door."
