A man from London will be sentenced in November after he admitted dangerous driving on the M11 near Bishop's Stortford.

Naizaur Rahman's silver BMW convertible was involved in a collision with a Mini on the northbound carriageway between junctions 7 (Harlow) and 8 (Stortford and Stansted Airport) on Sunday May 19 at around 2pm.

Moments before, other motorists had seen it being driven up the hard shoulder.

Rahman, 35, of Eversleigh Road, East Ham, was arrested. He was later summonsed to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court in September. Magistrates referred the case to the higher Crown court.

At Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday October 21, Rahman admitted dangerous driving. Sentencing was adjourned for a fortnight for reports. He was told to return to court on Monday November 4.
