Car thieves strike three times in Bishop’s Stortford over the New Year




Three cars were stolen from Bishop’s Stortford over the New Year period.

Between Monday and Thursday last week (Dec 30-Jan 2), two Toyotas and a Ford Fiesta were targeted by thieves. Two of the vehicles were later found.

The first reported theft was overnight on Monday/Tuesday, when a Toyota C-HR was stolen from Zambesi Road, off Rhodes Avenue. It was found in the London area by the Metropolitan police.

Then between Monday and Thursday, a Ford Fiesta was taken from a car park area at John Dyde Close, off Anchor Street, in the town centre.

And a Toyota Hilux was stolen between New Year’s Eve and Thursday from Osbourne Gardens on the Havers estate. It was later recovered by Thames Valley Police.
