Dance students from Birchwood High School had "the best experience of their lives" when they took to the stage at London's Royal Albert Hall.

The 14 girls from the Parsonage Lane secondary were taking part in the Hertfordshire Schools Gala on Sunday 8 March. They performed two dances, 'The Saint' and 'Reach', accompanied by a large orchestra and several choirs from different primary and secondary schools in the area.

"The quality of the students work was absolutely outstanding and their team work, dedication and professionalism backstage was so lovely to see," said Birchwood's head of dance, Adams.

"The girls had such a fantastic and memorable day claiming it was 'the best experience of their lives!' The whole event was buzzing and left the audience completely speechless over the talent of all the young people involved."

Miss Adams thanked all the parents of the students who took part for their support on the day and during the run up to the event.
