Manor of Groves hotel event raises over £9,000 for Isabel Hospice’s Together at Christmas appeal




A festive shopping event in High Wych raised over £9,000 for Isabel Hospice’s seasonal appeal.

Christmas at the Manor, which took place at the Manor of Groves hotel, was attended by 160 guests who looked around 26 stalls and enjoyed a buffet lunch.

And the annual event gave the charity’s Together at Christmas appeal, which has a target of £140,000 a boost of £9,011.

Barbara Doherty MBE, the president of Isabel Hospice and chairman of its special events committee, thanked everyone who supported the event.

“The money raised will allow us to continue to give very special care to patients and their families across eastern Hertfordshire,” she said.

Special guests included the mayor of Bishop’s Stortford, Cllr Richard Townsend, as well as his counterparts from Welwyn Hatfield and Buntingford, Frank Marsh and Duncan Wallace.
