Mountain Warehouse set to open in Jackson Square

Outdoor retailer Mountain Warehouse will open its newest store in Bishop's Stortford on Friday December 21.

Part of Jackson Square's latest revamp, the 2,600 sq ft outlet will sell clothing for men, women and children as well as outdoor equipment.

Mountain Warehouse is the largest outdoor retailer in the UK with more than 250 stores nationwide. The brand was established in 1997 and now serves over four million customers a year, catering for walking, running, cycling, skiing and camping enthusiasts.

Mountain Warehouse founder Mark Neale said: "We're delighted to be opening our new Mountain Warehouse store in Bishop's Stortford this December and excited to share our passion for adventure and great value outdoor gear for all the family with the local community."

Jackson Square centre manager Michael Smith said: "Mountain Warehouse is a great addition to the town and we're thrilled that they're opening in Jackson Square. I'm certain the store will prove popular among our customers.

"It's great that the opening of the new store will create a number of new jobs for the town this close to Christmas and I'm looking forward to getting to know the team from Mountain Warehouse over the coming weeks and months."
