Uttlesford residents tell Green Party activists about their priorities

Members of Uttlesford Green Party were in Saffron Walden’s Market Square on Saturday (Sept 7), asking residents ‘What is most important to you?’

Visitors to the party’s stall were able to choose three out of 11 topics, with the option to add others not on the list.

Nearly 200 people shared their priorities. Climate crisis was the first issue to fill its space on the bar chart board. Brexit, the NHS and education followed closely behind.

Uttlesford Green Party will be back in Market Square every Saturday throughout September to talk more with residents about the climate crisis, the NHS and education.

Co-ordinator Paul Allington said: “The climate crisis was the most common concern among visitors to our stall, showing a growing awareness of the importance of respecting our environment and biodiversity.”
