LEARN MOREParks in Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth are the focal points for events to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
The theme of the national programme is nature, and to celebrate the benefits of being outdoors the Friends of Castle Park, Southern Country Park and Pishiobury Park have organised community activities.
At Castle Park in Stortford town centre, there will be nature tours led by Matt Brolly on Wednesday (May 12) at 10am and 1pm and wildflower seed planting on Thursday (May 13) at 11am and 2pm.
Both afternoon sessions will be dementia-friendly with elements designed to promote sensory stimulation.
Because of Covid-19, groups are limited to five people and places must be booked by emailing committee@friendsofcastlepark.net.
At Southern Country Park at Thorley and Pishiobury Park in Sawbridgeworth, the friends groups have set up an interactive nature trail and "I spy" challenge with a QR code available on their Facebook pages.
