Community and cake in Takeley raise £1,145 for Hummingbird Cancer Support Group




A tea party organised by Takeley Fundraisers generated £1,145 for Hummingbird Cancer Support Group.

Held in the village, the event featured cakes and community spirit. Hummingbird’s Sarah Kerr said: “We are deeply grateful to the Takeley Fundraisers for their kindness and support.

"Donations like this make a real difference to the services we can provide – from holistic therapies and peer support to wellness classes and activities.

“Every pound raised goes directly to helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of a cancer diagnosis."

Sarah added: "Community-driven events like this remind us just how powerful compassion and connection can be. Thank you once again to Takeley Fundraisers and everyone who made the day so special."

The Hummingbird Cancer Support Group operates from Great Hadham Country Club and offers support to anyone affected by cancer, including patients, carers, and loved ones.
