Alcohol thieves strike at Waitrose and Sainsbury's in Bishop's Stortford

A man and a woman both with tattoos stole three bottles of spirits from Waitrose in Bishop’s Stortford.

A bottle of Martell brandy, Ciroc vodka and Courvoisier brandy were taken last Saturday evening (Sept 25) at around 8pm.

The man is described as white, 6ft, late 30s and of slim build with tattoos on his neck and hand. He wore a grey Tottenham jumper, blue jeans, black Nike trainers and a dark cap with a yellow peak.

The woman was early 40s, 5ft 6in, of large build and was wearing a blue and white striped long-sleeve T-shirt, black leggings, grey trainers and had a neck tattoo.

Earlier in the week, on Wednesday (Sept 22), three bottles of vodka were stolen from Waitrose by a woman with long blonde hair, wearing blue jeans and a beige jumper.

Five bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey were stolen from Sainsbury’s in Jackson Square at around 6pm last Friday (Sept 24) by a man who fled the store.

Earlier that afternoon a purse was stolen from a shopper’s handbag.
