LEARN MOREHospitals in Bishop's Stortford, Harlow and Epping are asking all outpatients to screen themselves for Covid-19.
Anyone with an appointment at the Herts and Essex in Stortford, Princess Alexandra in Harlow and St Margaret's in Epping now needs to complete a lateral flow test the day before and provide evidence of a negative result when they arrive.
They should upload the result to the NHS mobile app as it is this result that will need to be shown. Those without a smartphone must provide evidence via an email or a photo of the test.
They must also attend the appointment on their own, except for patients who require support or for a parent accompanying a child. In these circumstances, Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) requests that the supporter or parent also takes a lateral flow test.
If the test result is positive, the patient should reschedule their appointment and arrange to have a Covid-19 PCR test.
