M11: Essex Police appeal for witnesses after three-car crash

Essex Police is appealing for motorists' dashcam footage following a three-car crash which closed a stretch of the M11 on Sunday (Dec 20).

The incident happened on the northbound carriageway between junction 6, the M25 interchange at Theydon, and junction 7 at Harlow.

An Audi R8 hit the central reservation barrier at about 4.15pm. Two other vehicles, a silver Audi and a Mercedes, were in collision with each other.

The motorway was closed while all three vehicles were recovered. No injuries were reported.

A spokesman for the force said: "We are asking anyone who was on the M11 at the time to check their dashcam for any footage of the collision and to share it with us to help our investigation."

Call 101, quoting incident 716 of 20 December, if you saw what happened or have dashcam footage. You can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm or you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk.
