Donald Trump's UK visit: President's arrival at Stansted Airport in pictures

Donald Trump arrived at Stansted Airport on Monday morning (June 3) at the start of a three-day state visit to the UK.

The 45th president of the USA, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, flew in aboard Air Force One – a customised Boeing VC-25 – landing shortly before 9am amid tight security.

He was welcomed on behalf of the Government by Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt. Also there was US ambassador Woody Johnson, whose official residence, Winfield House in Regent's Park, will be the Trumps' accommodation during their visit.

The Trumps then boarded a waiting helicopter – codenamed Marine One – for the short flight to London, where a ceremonial welcome and private lunch with the Queen at Buckingham Palace await.
