East of England Ambulance Service challenges children to add a design feature to new training vehicles

The East of England Ambulance Service wants the region’s youngsters to add a design feature to its new training vehicles.

Paramedics learn rapid response driving in the eight Skoda Karoqs so they can get to road traffic collisions and other emergencies fast while ambulances are on their way.

The service wants children to “let their imaginations go wild” and design an image to put on the rear quarterlight windows of the SUVs.

Entries will be split into two age categories – up to 10 and 10-16 – and the winners will see their artwork on the cars along with their names.

The challenge is to design an image to express what they think the ambulance service does and what patients would like to see when paramedics arrive.

Work cannot be created by copying other pictures or using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

Entries from schools are welcome. Children taking part must have parental/guardian consent to have their names and ages used in publicity.

All entries must be received by Friday February 28. For a template and more details, see https://www.eastamb.nhs.uk/newsroom/your-child-s-design-on-our-vehicles.
