National Air Ambulance Week: EHAAT collections at Tesco and Sainsbury's

Volunteers and staff from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) will be visiting Bishop’s Stortford on three occasions this month as part of National Air Ambulance Week (September 9-15).

Throughout the seven-day mission, the UK’s network of life-saving charities will raise awareness and collect cash. Air ambulance charities are funded by donations from the public and treat over 25,000 patients a year.

EHAAT’s collection crew will be at Tesco in Bishop’s Park on Wednesday, September 11, Sainsbury’s at the Thorley Neighbourhood Centre on Friday, September 13 and Bishop’s Stortford fire station in Patmore Close on Saturday, September 21.

While the last visit does not fall within National Air Ambulance Week, the session is taking place to coincide with the fire station’s open day between noon and 4pm.

On this day, visitors will be able to meet another team of heroes: the Bishop’s Stortford firefighters. The friendly crew will be ready to welcome the community, show off their fire engines and give demonstrations.
