A working farm which is struggling for business because of a road closure is urging people to attend its forthcoming fun day and pet show.

Daisy May’s Farm is holding its main fund-raiser of the year on Sunday 14 July from 11am-3pm.

The event includes a bouncy castle, pony rides, beer/Pimms tent, afternoon teas, face-painting and fun pet show classes.

Farm owner Rachel Berry said Hall Road would remain closed until October, but visitors could park in Elsenham and walk down.

“We fund-raise all year to feed the animals all winter, but because of the lack of visitors this summer it’s more important than ever to get people to come to our fun day.”
