FIFA, Mario Kart, footgolf and scavenger hunt on the half-term timetable at Bishop's Stortford youth café Thirst
Thirst youth café has planned an action-packed week for Bishop's Stortford young people over October half-term.
Jake Tucker, operations manager and youth worker at the centre on the corner of South Street and Newtown Road, said: "We've been working really hard to reopen... following guidance from the National Youth Agency.
"We are currently allowed to run short sessions for up to 15 young people, inside and outside.
In September, Thirst reopened on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3.30pm to 5.15pm, and in October it started its new 'Thirst in the Garden' sessions in Newtown Gardens, behind the café, on Tuesdays and Fridays, 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
Activities on offer over half-term comprise FIFA and Mario Kart video game competitions, a scavenger hunt and creative activities at the café plus a footgolf contest at Ash Valley Golf Club.
Anyone aged 11 to 18 is welcome to enjoy, provided they book via a Direct Doodle link for the session so Thirst can comply with coronavirus restrictions on numbers.
