Sawbridgeworth fire crew helps rescue horse from manhole in High Wych




Firefighters rescued a horse that had got stuck in a manhole in High Wych.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Sawbridgeworth and Hatfield attended the incident.

They extricated the horse from the manhole with the help of machinery from a local farmer and Hatfield's specialist large animal rescue equipment.

The horse was sedated by the owner's vet before the rescue on February 7 could commence.
