Daniel Robinson & Sons’ golf day at Colne Valley Golf Club raises £43,000 for children with cerebral palsy
A charity golf day organised by Bishop’s Stortford funeral directors Daniel Robinson & Sons has raised a staggering £43,000 to benefit children living with cerebral palsy.
A great deal of hard work and dedication by the team at the firm’s South Street head office paid off when the annual event was held at Colne Valley Golf Club on Wednesday September 10.
A total of 34 fourballs took part, including representatives of Bishop’s Stortford businesses such as solicitors Nockolds, chartered accountants and business advisors Price Bailey, estate agent Mullucks and stonemason J Day & Son as well as Ratcliff & Burridge Construction of Great Hallingbury.
A spokeswoman for Daniel Robinson said: “Every penny raised will be used to change young lives in the local area for the better, covering the cost of specialist private physiotherapy and equipment, to help local children who were born with cerebral palsy.
“This level of physiotherapy is not available through the NHS, but it gives the children the opportunity to greatly increase their mobility and confidence, helping to equip them to lead much more independent lives in the future.”
Gary Neill, managing director of Daniel Robinson & Sons, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated to the day or entered a team. It is this fantastic level of support and the inspirational beneficiaries that make this such a special event.”
