Former cocktail bar Drinks Boutique to become Bishop’s Stortford’s first Caribbean food takeaway

A Caribbean food takeaway is coming to Bishop’s Stortford town centre.

The new outlet will take the place of Drinks Boutique, a bijou wine and cocktails bar in Station Road, which opened in 2021.

Work to refit the premises has begun in readiness for opening before Christmas.

Drinks Boutique proprietor Shanna Joseph told the Indie that “something different” was coming to Bishop’s Stortford.

“It will be a Caribbean takeaway called Caribbean Mixup,” she said. “We’re hoping to open in December.”

She said she was looking for new premises in the town so Drinks Boutique could reopen.
