Bishop's Stortford College is inviting families with children getting ready to start nursery or pre-school to join a free 'readiness' talk.

The event, by the head of pre-prep Belinda Callow and her team, will focus on sharing a 'toolbox' of skills that children would benefit from having to get the best possible start in education.

Topics under discussion at the talk on Saturday April 23, from 8.45am, include social and emotional skills, language, gross motor skills, fine motor skills and independence.

The team will also discuss literacy and numeracy skills as well as what to look for in nursery or playgroup environments.

The talk is open to all, but families should register to attend at https://www.bishopsstortfordcollege.org/206/latest-news/post/1338/is-your-child-ready-for-school.

It will be followed by an open morning at the Maze Green Road school but there is no requirement to attend both.
