Gang of 10 attack Harlow man on night out with friend in Bishop's Stortford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was knocked to the ground and kicked in the head by a group of about 10 men in Bishop's Stortford town centre.

Last Friday night's (Sept 24) attack happened in Riverside shortly after 11pm while the victim, aged 31 and from Harlow, and a friend were on a night out.

They were approached by the group and an argument ensued.

Inspector Mark Collins, of Stortford police, said: "One of the men hit the victim, causing him to fall to the floor and bang his head. He then sustained a kick to the back of the head causing a small bump."

The injured man took himself to Harlow's Princess Alexandra Hospital for a check-up.
