The owners of Wickham Hall are opening up their gardens to the public to mark Isabel Hospice's 40th anniversary.

Visitors will be welcomed to the home of David and Suzy Harvey, near the Stortford Fields estate off Hadham Road in Bishop's Stortford, on Thursday June 23 from 2pm to 5pm.

Money raised from the event will go to the hospice, which offers life-limiting care and support to patients and their families in East Herts, Broxbourne and Welwyn Hatfield.

Organiser Renée Friend said that visitors would be able to enjoy afternoon tea and cake in the gardens, a variety of stalls to browse and musical entertainment.

Admission on the gate is £5. There will be parking in an adjacent field.

Isabel Hospice was founded in 1982 and is marking its 40th anniversary this year with a host of activities and celebrations. "We’re incredibly proud of everything your support has enabled us to achieve over the last 40 years," it said.
